I am Mephisopheles in a long black coat. The purveyor of the finest in blood, death, sex and magic. I'm the person you really want as your friend, and really don't want as your enemy. Fiercely loyal, ruthlessly intelligent, brutally honest, able to see the funny side in any situation, and be deadly serious about the most frivolous things.
A sarcastic pleasure-lover, drinking single malt with a snarl, striding the pavements of Manchester purposefully, laughing at my cliches while revelling in my individuality. A Perl coding Debian sysadmin, living on the net and sensing the passing of every ethernet frame. Technology breeds magic, a fusion, a technomancy, linking the real and the hyper-real, an API to mystery, allowing you to measure the mass of fairy dust.
And here, a journal. Less about what I do, more about why I do it, how I feel. Part method of self-discovery, part reminder for my terminally forgetful brain. Part information service, letting the people who care know about what's going on in my life. And, of course, part exercise in egotistical masturbation.
